About this Coffee:
Ethiopia Shanta Golba Natural is an organically produced, naturally processed coffee produced by over 1200 small-holder farmers living around the town of Daya Bensa in the Sidama region. This coffee was sourced by our partners at Unravel Coffee Merchants and Ardent Coffee export who are pillars in the community—they have built a road to aid in transportation, a local elementary school, an orphanage for children in the community, and the Shanta Golba washing station.

Our newest lot of Ethiopia Shanta Golba Natural is a vibrant and dynamic coffee, bursting with complexity and depth across the roast spectrum. Light to medium roasts highlight exceptional florality and bright, fruit-forward character, with notes of lavender, boysenberry, Madagascar vanilla, and honey, all wrapped in a creamy mouthfeel and balanced acidity. Roasted darker, this coffee transforms into a rich, syrupy cup with deep notes of pomegranate, mixed berry jam, dark chocolate, cola, and a warm, buttery pie crust. Whether enjoyed as drip coffee or a single-origin espresso, Shanta Golba delivers a refined yet expressive experience, perfect on its own or blended to add fruit and complexity.

Ethiopia Mother Station Washed is grown and harvested in Bombe, Sidama, a place known for its rich vegetation and climate. The coffee is produced by local farmers and processed at the Qonqana washing station, named for a river that passes through the area. The washing station was the first and largest built by Daye Bensa Coffee, a company run by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo that has built numerous mills in the Sidamo region and also exports and grows coffee. Mill owners, Daye Bensa, make use of environmentally friendly depulping and pressurized sorting machinery. They also compost and have a dedicated waste water treatment. Being one of the first in the area, the washing station is often referred to as “The Mother Station” by locals.
The Ethiopia Mother Station Washed is an expressive and flavorful coffee, full of dynamic floral notes and caramelized sweetness.
